"White cubes on the pond"
To create balance between nature and aquacultural landscape, this garden seeks to minimize the footprint of the production of aquatic food. This is done by placing cubes for aquacultural production above the water of a "natural" pond, thereby seperating the two systems. Only by small tubes does the systems exchange water. The cubes recieves nutrition from the lake and disperse used water into the lake for natural purification.
The continual flow of water through the system increase the access to nutriants and oxidation.
As visitors walk through the garden via the wooden path suspended, just above the surface of the pond, they will be able to observe the production of food going on inside the cubes. The production will be staged by different views, depending on the kind of food located inside. Some cubes will have holes cut out of them, some transparent sides and others will have transparent lids that also increase a micro climatic greenhouse effect.
The white cubes will serve as a contrast to the surrounding pond landscape, which will be of wild character to increase the illusion of two systems.
